Andrew Noble

Andy, director and joint owner operator of Noble, has over 20 years of Project Management and Quantity Surveying experience working for both Main Contrcators and Project Management Consultants in New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. In addition to his degree in Quantity Surveyong, Andy is also a chartered member of the CIOB and full member of the NZIQS.
Andy’s experience of working as a senior Quantity Surveyor and Project manager on both the contracting and consulting sides of the construction industry gives Andy a rare insight and great understanding of the overall construction process.
In his spare time Andy enjoys mountain biking, golfing or tramping with his family.
Julia Noble
Finance Manager
BEng (Hons) (Civil Eng & PM)
Julia has been the Finance Manager of Noble since 2016. In addition to her Honours degree in Civil Engineering and Project Management, Julia has a Post Graduate Certificate in Mathematics. Having taught Mathematics at secondary level for 13 years, Julia embraces this change in career and now enjoys the day to day running of the business and is particularly passionate in her role as Finance Manager.
When not working Julia enjoys spending time with her three children, skiing in winter and kayaking in the summer months.
Felicity Lowe
Project Manager | Quantity Surveyor
BA (Hons), PGDip Surv, MRICS, MNZIQS
Felicity has an Honours degree in English Literature and English Language and also a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction and Surveying. Felicity is a current member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
After completing her studies Felicity gained plenty of on hand experience while she worked for UK based Consultant and then moved to live and work in New Zealand.
Felicity is a conscientious and hard working chartered surveyor and has gained experience in both UK and NZ. Having experience as both Consulting and Contracting QS allows her to have a great understanding of the core industry principles and construction process.
Felicity enjoys diving, cooking, gardening, camping and spending time with her dog.
Emma Lusty
Senior Quantity Surveyor | Senior Project Manager
BAS (Arch), BConst (QS), MNZIQS, Reg QS
Emma has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies, a Bachelor of Construction in Quantity Surveying and is a graduate member of NZIQS. After completing her studies in Architecture and Quantity Surveying Emma gained plenty of on hand experience while she worked for a locally based Main Contractor.
Emma moved overseas to live and work in London and after two years she made the return to Nelson, NZ and took up the Quantity Surveyor/Project Management role at Noble. Emma’s experience both in NZ and abroad, for both a Main Contractor and Client Consultant, allows her to have a great understanding of the core industry principles and construction process.
Emma enjoys keeping active, making the most of the Nelson sights and sunshine with her dog Judge.
Peter MacNab
Senior Project Manager
BSc (Hons), PMI
Peter has an Honours degree in Construction Management as well as a BTEC in Building Studies (specialising in Site Management) and a BTEC in General Art & Design. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute.
Peter has an excellent track record gained over 28 years working in the construction industry. Peter has experience as both a client representative and as a Main Contractor, on a variety of projects, ranging from commercial, industrial, civil, highways and residential. He has a wealth of experience with the majority being complex medium rise commercial projects, generally of a highly technical nature such as health care and research laboratories.
Peter enjoys mountain biking, walking and painting in his spare time and when given the opportunity he has a passion for cave exploration.
Tayla Peter
Graduate Project Manager
BBSc (PM)
Tayla completed her studies at Victoria University where she gained a Bachelor of Building Science, majoring in Project Management in 2019. After completing her studies Tayla was employed by Noble and made the shift to Nelson.
Tayla’s experience at Victoria University demonstrates understanding of building performance and project management where she co-ordinated internal projects from establishment to completion and learnt about construction processes and materials used.
Tayla has implemented the skills she learnt at university and has applied them to the various projects she has underway which has guided the projects to sucessful completeion.
Outside of work, Tayla enjoys getting out on the hockey turf and getting to know the Nelson area while spending time with family and friends.
Daniel Kerby
Junior Project Manager | Quantity Surveyor
BCom(Mkt/Mgmt), DIP.QS/ES
Dan has a background in mechanics and construction, moving back to Nelson from Queenstown he completed a BCom double majoring in marketing and management. The commerce degree included a project management paper, which immediately drew his interest and became the career path he wanted to follow.
Dan worked as a project manager for a large asbestos removal and demolition company where he completed his degree in quantity surveying and estimation. At Noble, Dan is able to combine these two disciplines and use his onsite experience to help guide projects through to their successful completion.
When Dan is not managing projects, you will find him spending time in the garage working on his motorbike or spending too much money on remote control cars.
Nina Usui
Office Administrator
Nina is a young enthusiastic addition to Noble and brings a range of skills to the team. After completing a year at the University of Auckland, Nina decided to take a GAP year to rediscover her roots in Japan where she was able to embrace more of her culture and reconnect with friends and family. Nina spent her time in Japan working and travelling, which was an incredible learning experience, but the pull of home was strong and a year later she found herself back in Nelson.
Nina enjoys being part of the Noble team, gaining experience in office administration and learning about Project Management whilst obtaining a variety of new skills and expanding her horizons.
After four and a half years away from gymnastics Nina decided to make a comeback where she now finds herself following her passion in the sport. As a Step 9 competitive gymnast Nina spends most of her free time in the gym, either training or coaching and she loves to spend her downtime at home with her kittens and family.
Martin Hay

Martin is a senior Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager with over 40 years industry experience. Martin has a broad based quantity surveying, cost engineering and project management background gained from working for both contractors and clients.
Hardworking, honest, reliable and well organised. He enjoys taking on strategic roles and more complex projects. He prides himself on his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to meet tight time frames and he thrives on the daily challenge of exceeding client expectations, liaising with contractors.
Martin’s practical hands on approach to projects in his professional capacity has led to planning roles for several clubs and other organisations on a voluntary basis. He now splits his time between Nelson and his second home in Queenstown
